I paint to explore my inner world, to understand how I relate to the outside world. I paint to find a community of like-hearted people.

Textured art with interesting surfaces, materials and bright colors. Abstract movements such as expressionism, colorism, impressionism and pointillism are all heavily featured in my art.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration in nature and the cultures that I was raised in. Nature (botanicals, food and landscapes) offer reference points for my choices in color and texture. Culture shapes the way I process emotions and situations. I moved a lot as a child and young adult and grew up with parents from different cultures to the one we lived in. Visiting my parents homelands gave me perspective on my intuitive preferences and interests.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my start-up art business by using the funds to buy materials needs to complete a full series that I would submit for my first solo exhibit. I would continue to grow my body of work and use some of the money towards marketing for my online shop, inventory for art fairs and to apply to more grands and art residences.
