Art transformed my struggles into purpose. I create to remind others they’re not alone—and that healing is possible.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art to create is mixed media. I’m drawn to the way layered materials create depth, texture, and contrast—turning each piece into an experience. There’s a sense of discovery in every layer, both for me and the viewer. Mixed media allows me to express complexity, emotion, and transformation in a way that feels limitless.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my emotions and healing journey. Each feeling—whether joy, sadness, confusion, or growth—becomes a source of creation. Art allows me to express what words often cannot. Through painting and drawing, I translate inner experiences into something tangible, creating space not only for my own healing, but for others to feel seen and understood.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to payoff some debt and expand my startup company, Yo Be Creatin’ into a sustainable, healing-centered art business. This includes establishing an LLC, securing a trademark, and upgrading equipment to produce my own products. This funding would allow me to scale my impact—bringing art, healing, and connection to more people.
