I create art to stay alive. I planned to end my own life and putting my heart into my music & art is the only thing keeping me here. Hope.

I am a songwriter. My art is best expressed through my lyrical and grammatical accuracy, deliverance & proficiency. I feel extremely constricted and restrained when I think of my art in terms of “genre.” I make music that tickles my own brain, and I enjoy experimenting when I am in the process of putting together and creating a song that answers/asks questions that I wish I had been privy to since a young age.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the world around me. More specifically, the interactions I observe between individuals and groups in social settings. The nonsensical things that people do & say & think for no reason other than it being a learned thought-process; something that wouldn’t have existed within their being if someone hadn’t secreted their pain and fear from their own past experiences. I find inspiration in introspection & universal-discussion. The essence of things; unfiltered by human process.
What would you do with $25,000?I put myself into debt in order to release my first few singles in the timeline that I aspired to achieve. With $25,000, I would use about a third to ease my debt; with the remainder, I would pave the way for my music career, financially speaking, by accessing things that I am currently unable to. This includes: gas to travel 45 minutes to/from Edmonton/Calgary to perform at open mic venues, recording studio time, production assistance, and other associated costs.
