What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art to create is figurative work. In my pieces, chiaroscuro lighting plays an essential role in storytelling, helping to highlight specific areas of the body and the props within each composition.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in everyday life, personal experiences, and the people around me. My work is deeply influenced by observing the human figure and the emotions it carries. I draw from moments, memories, and cultural identity, using light, composition, and symbolism to tell stories that feel both personal and universal.

What would you do with $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would open a studio that supports both my practice and my work as an arts integration teacher. The space would serve as a creative hub offering workshops for children and adults, blending visual art with subjects like literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. It would be an inclusive environment where participants build confidence, explore identity, and experience the transformative power of art
