I work in textile and fiber, grounded in handcraft and repetition. Each stitch becomes a way of thinking and holding time. I’m drawn to the tension between softness and structure. How familiar materials can carry emotional weight. My work often sits between comfort and unease, where touch becomes a language, and making becomes a form of quiet presence.
Where do you find inspiration?I am deeply affected by the collective emotional climate around me. My inspiration emerges from absorbing these shared feelings and translating them through intuitive, freehand making. Working with soft sculpture, I allow the material to guide me—shaping forms without rigid control, where emotion, instinct, and touch come together in the process.
What would you do with $25,000?I would embark on two material journeys. One across the U.S., highlighting local wool producers and honoring the hands behind yarn and natural fibers. The other in Asia, learning natural dye practices and their ties to culture. Through a series of journal-led documentation, I aim to return this support to the community—bringing visibility to those who nurture fiber, textile, and tradition through craft.
