My favorite work to create is the any kind that sends a message, makes you think, or makes you laugh. I can make art with anything but my favorite art to make is when im not sure where it will go next. The element of discovery allows me to suprise myself. I also love commissions because they challenge me to work under the vision that another dreamnt up. I push myself to find new trails to blaze.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in the desire for all of us to find pride in our individuality and that actually is the trait that we have most in common. Its so easy to feel alone and forget that, if there are any certainties in anything, its that none of us are ever alone. If you are a human being, you have the power to understand. A rose is grown in dirt and shit. Thats the universe talking to us. Beauty is everywhere.
What would you do with $25,000?Id use half to start a special art collective idea ive been deaming about. The rest i would give to local schools that cant see that children and teenagers need outlets to define themselves and that means giving money to the art departments. We are raising these kids with values that ensure the world grinds them up. So instead of bullshit, we should be teaching them its ok to not know who they are in their youth while providing avenues to help them find themselves, and nuturing self expression.
