I love creating because it connects me to my community and other creative minds who inspire and challenge me every day.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating art that is both conceptual and functional. As an audio engineer, musician, and studio artist, I combine these disciplines to build guitars and basses that are as visually striking as they are sonically functional, capable of living in both studio and gallery spaces. Creating instruments that make music fosters a sense of community. I’m drawn to bridging the gap between visual art and sound, sparking ideas and influence across both worlds.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the people and environment around me. The Ogden arts community and my peers push me to explore my passions in both music and art. Working in a gallery allows me to engage with contemporary artists across many mediums, expanding how I see my own work. I also draw from modern metal music, which informs both the aesthetic and conceptual direction of my designs.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in expanding my practice by purchasing tools and equipment to elevate what I can build in my shop. The support would also allow me to dedicate more time to my practice and grow my work sustainably. With the remaining funds, I would continue supporting the local art community through mentorship, workshops, and sharing access to tools and knowledge with emerging artists. I believe in growing alongside my community and creating more opportunities for artists to be seen and supported.
