Scavenged junk and donations filled with blood and love are the fuel for my sacred creations.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
At this moment in time? Protest multimedia. But it didn't start there. A decade ago it was biosteampunk portraiture of celebrities — no one has ever seen them. Even in my roots, everything was recycled, thrifted, or donated. That was the seed. Now it's evolved into protest work and building community. As a Puerto Rican queer AuDHD artist with a trans kid, this was destiny.
Where do you find inspiration?TRASH and THRIFT! Couldn't afford supplies. So I looked in the trash cans behind my parents' store. Spent my tiny allowance on glitter and spray paint. That was then. This is now: scavenging, glitter, spray paint. Same garbage. Bigger reason. Making protest art finding my people in the art community sharing trading and giving support!
What would you do with $25,000?Pay every person who gave their volunteer time over the years to help build the crazy creations stuck in my brain. The rest builds Sacred Vandalism. You are the sacred. Vandalism is freedom. Hiring struggling artists. Trading. Building community. Being beautifully broken. Together.
