The kind of art that is always different and never easy to create. I love color and texture that can complement the subject matter. Art that has a function is pretty cool but so is the classic wall hanger. I do enjoy painting and capturing a moment in time or from a dream. My favorite would probably be working with ceramics and sculpture. I enjoy stone, concrete, and clay works.I haven’t worked much with wood besides building decks or fences but that seems like another option for me.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from a few different avenues, the interaction with nature, sometimes from dreams, and maybe I hear or see a new or old song on the radio or internet. When the season change so does the weather. Watching the rain or snow fall is very soothing and then to see how the plants and animals react and survive is a spectacular experience. Dreams are hard to remember but sometimes we are given ones that are hard to forget just like hearing music. Moments that touch the soul.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25k I could pay off my debt or maybe go on that snowboard trip around the globe chasing the winter thrills. Probably the best option would be to invest in my home with making more space for art and preserving what I already have. I could use it to build a new deck and finish of my own landscape in the backyard. Then I could have time and space for that sculpture and ceramics area that I have always wanted. Maybe I should split it with mom and dad because without them I would not be here.
