I love to create art because it is one of the greatest ways to communicate and educate others about culture, history, and individualism.

My favorite type of art to create are Expressionist portraits with a bold, vibrant palette of historical figures, fictional female characters representing current events, and mythological figures spanning various cultures. Recently, I have experimented with abstract portraits to express my opinions on artist censorship and erasure.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration lies in my interest in anthropology and learning more about the history of other cultures in the world that often paraphrased in a scholarly textbook. I ask myself if I truly know enough about Queen Nefertiti, the nomadic tribes in Africa that wear vibrant floral headdresses, or if there was a female equivalent to Paul Revere recorded in history and start there.
What would you do with $25,000?I would bring the international art fair experience to my local community in December at my local library. I live in a multicultural county and it is important—now more than ever—that children and adolescents are taught the vitality of art in all its forms no matter the community or culture.
