I create to highlight things as they are and call attention to them. People struggling feel seen and it resonates within them personally.

Anything realistic, especially grayscale pieces. I like to be very direct and show people I’m unafraid to display my art despite the blunt message it conveys. I enjoy portraiture, but have recently leaned into more activist compositions or ones that highlight struggles to make other people seen.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people or issues where there is a clear struggle but no one bringing light to the issue. An artists job is to express their creativity in a way that is interesting and explorative. My interest is helping others either feel seen in my work or understand the experience that others are going through.
What would you do with $25,000?I would put it towards my tuition I am unable to afford to get into art school at Montserrat College of Art in Massachusetts. I would also use some of it to help secure my move up to that area so I could continue my studies.
