Hand-carved gourds are my favorite form of art to create. I also love the process of growing them from seed, then choosing from the unique shapes and varieties each one becomes. The carving itself asks for a delicate balance . One gentle enough to avoid cracking the surface, yet firm enough to cut all the way through.
Where do you find inspiration?The world around me especially my son. He helps me see the world in new ways.
What would you do with $25,000?25000 would be life changing. I would use that money to get my art business going. I would use the money to buy supplies and equipment to do craft fairs. I think now more than ever it’s important to give people the option to buy something handmade and locally made.
