Brad Michael Moore

I took my first meaningful photograph 68 years ago at age 5, with my Grandmother’s camera. Eventually, I learned how to enhance my art too!

What is your favorite type of art to create?

I lean towards Abstraction - often taking straight captures, and then intermingling them in layers with other images (via .tiff Files) and often, using any filters & digital tools I may have. I have always loved Nature and her Landscapes - so to discover ways to abstract Nature is also a passion of mine. I have lived in isolation these past 33 years - putting more energy into my creativity than Public Relations. Friends invite me to exhibit with them at times - knowing I am no self-promoter….

Where do you find inspiration?

My imagination has most often guided me in my artistic journey. Nature, color, motion & implied motion intrigue me. I endeavor to create images that are open to interpretation & motivate the viewer towards finding meaning themselves based on upon their own life experiences. I am not wealthy by any means and when I lost my computer and tools collected over near 2-decades (in 2000) - couldn’t replace em. Since then - my work has become more simple, more natural - but Abstraction creeps in still

What would you do with $25,000?

Improve my artistic tools, or, as I have lived 11 years without Running Water - I might see if I could drill a new well. Such things are so much more expensive nowadays. At the age of 73, having running water is one way of keeping my independence. I live in a rural area - just inside an edge of wilderness where most all of my creativity is cultivated. I have always been a bit behind reaching plateaus in my life & career, but I never give up - just keep plugging away! I have my health & hopes!
