Learn MoreWhat is your favorite type of art to create?
Being something of creator co-creating within the creation, I like to make art that reflects that notion, as well as stop people dead in their tracks to ponder, "what was that guy on when he came up with that?" The kind of art that when shown to different people, those people each see their own thing or find their own meaning. It pickles my brain when I show someone a piece and they see an elephant I didn't paint or they see a religious or philosophical notion that was unintended. Large Canvas.
Where do you find inspiration?
Simply put, environmental stimuli of all kinds but, I think you're looking for a more detailed affair. Music is a big one. Sometimes I don't have an idea for a piece but, the flow of the music instructs me, the weirder the better. NDE's, dreams and other spiritual experiences are a big part of it, hence my obsession with blue skinned people. Once, I was inspired by necessity. I only had some pastels and some older work in my possession, so I covered them with the pastel and my new style was born
What would you do with $25,000?
Well, gee, you are asking a fella who is currently unemployed and living off of $110 a week. My current survival is solely dependent on my mother. The selfish answer? Use the money to sustain myself and create even further until steady income can be procured. Possibly see family/friends I haven't seen in years and use that as a vessel to get my art seen around the country. 25k isn't enough for my dream project, a maze painted in my style. There, people can lose their self, then find their self.
