I love to create art for the act of creation. I think it's our responsibility as humans to create and do so brings me a sense of peace.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like to create surrealism mixed media primarily using acrylics on canvas with paper.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the many recycled magazines I use as part of my paintings. Inspiration comes from the figure’s fashion, posture, and expressions. This guides my choices of color, pattern, and texture. During the painting process, I rarely have any concept of what they want the finished piece to look like. The art is created purely for the joy and action of creation using my instincts. I like to think of it as creating a visual of the imagination that lives in our head.
What would you do with $25,000?With $ 25,000, I could take the time to prioritize my dreams as an artist. I would use the funds to afford entry fees for galleries and competitions, but I'd take time to explore the world that influences my art and save for the future.
