Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration from the joy & the pain of being human. I paint from the perspective of a mother, a wife, sister, daughter and friend. The threads that tie my art stories together stem from God, heartbreak, doubt, growth, love and self-reflection. When I am in my studio, music is what moves my hand. Music is what helps my art come alive and breath. In another life I probably would have been a musician, but for now I’ll take what God generously gave me to tell my stories.
What would you do with $25,000?
I have wanted to be a full-time career artist for many years. The gift of this money would allow me the opportunity to secure making art as my sole career. This gift would be huge for me. It would allow me the space and time that I need to create all that God has put into my heart to paint. What a enormous gift that would be.
