All that is art is life, and all is meaningful, beautiful. I’m a full-time practitioner of “the art of living well.” Art gives life significance. I paint, I write, I compose music, I sing, I’m a published poet, a published history author, a playwright, a culinary art practitioner. I’m a trained former merchant marine chef. And I own a farm where I practice growing and harvesting most of the organic, holistic foods we consume… Horticultural arts, i believe it is called.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in life. Everything everyone, every event, is often a motivation, a time to later reflect. As a former mental health worker I used my art, poetry and music to help my patients regain and find themselves even when they were at their darkest and most depressed point. Sometimes, I found opportunity to help serve communities in distress through the arts. To write and produce a play to benefit those in need during the AIDS epidemic, earlier homeless crisis, natural disasters
What would you do with $25,000?complete the production of my upcoming salsa, reggae, calypso and rock music album. Conduct a little tour n play some bomba music with the Balele Sureño from Guayama, Puerto Rico off of my previous album, The Songbook of Life. More importantly, donate some books and perhaps iPads to schoolchildren in my hometown Of puerto Cortes, then get back to my art gallery in Puerto Rico. unable to meet all of this, with just the 25k?
