As an artist, I find profound inspiration in the rich tapestry of mid-century Canadian photography. My paintings preserve these moments.

I like to paint mid century street scenes. My paintings are very large canvases, painted with oils. I grew up in this era. There wasn’t any access to cell phones or computers. We made our own fun. My generation was the last one to live like this. I love that I have a hand in preserving these moments.
Where do you find inspiration? After I was exposed to the body of photography by Fred Herzog and Stephen Shore I looked for similar scenes relating to Canada.
What would you do with $25,000?I would contribute some to sustainable arts in my community. I would use some to help me with my own art exhibition in 2028?
